Ghost Trail Launches on Ebook and Paperback

A Book Based on a Dream

I’m excited to announce the launch of my first novel, Ghost Trail. In 2012, I awoke from a dream about a Special Forces Operator infiltrating an Al Qaeda commandeered hut, completely unseen. My dream was like a scene straight out of a movie. I woke instantly, enthralled- I wanted to see the rest of the movie!

It was enough of a spark for me to begin forming it into a screenplay. The more I prepared it, the more I realized I had more of a story than a two-hour screenplay, so I began writing it as a novel.

Authentic Technology

A few years prior, I went on a tour of Boeing, which included the Boeing offshoot called Future Combat Systems. I was fascinated by this part of the tour, and drew on technology concepts I learned here when writing Ghost Trail. (I can’t say more without revealing any spoilers!)

One of the great traits of one of my favorite authors, Michael Crichton, is that his science-fiction is based on actual science (dinosaurs really could be cloned from the DNA in insects trapped in amber.) When Crichton makes his Sci-Fi plausible, it makes the entire book more believable and authentic. I strive to do the same with Sci-Fi elements in my screenplays, and in Ghost Trail. All of the Sci-Fi gadgets and technology in Ghost Trail could be produced (in theory.)

Target Readers

I wrote this book for those who enjoy Thrillers, Technothrillers, Sci-Fi and Special Forces Military Fiction. I have worked many years in video game advertising, and I’m a fan of campaign-mode shooter games. I also wrote Ghost Trail for gamers who love shooters. If you’re a gamer and like FPS story-mode games, I think you’ll get a kick out of Ghost Trail too!

If you’d like to join the Ghost Trail newsletter for future promos and discounts, please email me at If you’re curious which scene in the book was from my dream, it’s in chapter two, the scene with the motorcycle in the backyard.

Thank you for reading, and I hope you enjoy Ghost Trail!
